Great food, terrific customer service!

So happy we decided on this spot. A little dark inside (almost turned around at the door). The best burger we both decided! We had the beacon burger with onion rings, and the black & blue cheese burger with chips! Almost stopped on the way out this morning (smile). Onion rings were off the chain!

More music than any other spot in a one hour drive radius almost every day of the week!

Enjoyed our first visit to Sharkies! Best fresh ground burgers and Lone Star Red. The wait staff are super friendly as is the local clientele. The band is great and so much fun! We’ll be regulars!

Best place to go to for a great time and a wonderful staff. Downstairs had a band and upstairs had karaoke. Upstairs was much better though and food was awesome. Will definitely go back. We drove 5 hours with sharkies being part of the plan. Definitely would recommend.

Fun atmosphere and good food!

We have been enjoying Sharkies since 2008. The food is always great, and the view of the beach ?? is relaxing. Therecis is always a cool breeze from the Gulf. Plenty of free parking. If you want a cold drink, a hot burger, and a cool breeze, THIS IS THE PLACE! 10 Stars

Stopped in for lunch I had chicken fingers and hubby had the burger both were very good at a good price with an awesome view of the gulf.Met some great people and had a fun day. We’ll be definitely be going back!!

Great place. Walked over from the beach was immediately taken care of and they were packed. Had a hamburger and a few libations. Love this place. Do not know why they have 2 stars.

Went for lunch with our dog. Sat on the balcony. Nice view of the beach. Bartender was so nice and friendly. Real down to earth. She let us walk thru with our dog to the deck. They have a Pup Patty ,their 1/2 lb burger on its lonesome. Enjoyed it very much. Would recommend, especially if traveling with your pooch

My brother was visiting Surfside Beach so him & his wife went here to eat. They also had a great time and enjoyed their food, the view of the beach, and their waitress was great. Hats off to the cook and bartenders. Will definitely go there again

Decided to try this place out for lunch one afternoon. It's right down the road from Surfside Beach so it has nice view of the ocean. Service was good enough for me to return again. However, the burger, specifically the jalapeo Monterey burger is the main reason I go there. It is the only thing I ever eat and it is spectacular! Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had, in my opinion. The burger is cooked to perfection and juicy. The peppers as well as the jalapeo bun they use give the burger a great flavor that isn't too spicy. I also like to add some bacon to the burger because that just sets off the flavor even even more. The fries are seasoned well and crunchy. I like to dip my fries in their homemade ranch sauce. So good!! If you want a great burger at a good price, with a nice view and good atmosphere, give this place a try.

Noce brach bar with atmosphere, music, pool tables and games. The food and drinks are typical pricing. I had a black and blue burger; the seasons, toppings exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this burger. Hot and seasoned fries.

Say what you want, but Sharkies deserves your patronage. Without a doubt, we had some of the best food we've eaten in Surfside. Burgers were fresh, made to order and served with homemade fried chips (excellent!).
I'm sure it's difficult to keep good help at some of the restaurants on the island, but Sharkies does. Bartender was working alone yet managed to take care of customers inside the bar and out on the deck.
Don't turn your nose up at this place! We'll definitely be back.

We love this bar! This has been our second time back to Surfside and Sharkies is the place to be each time. Wonderful staff and excellent food and drinks! You can also see the coast from the back patio which is a huge plus.

Was there New Year's Eve! Big thumbs up for the bartending and decorations. The DJ was great too. Have not tried the food but the place is clean and I recommend.

Awesome burgers! Stopped by on a quiet Saturday afternoon, ordered Onion Mushroom Swiss burgers. Thick patties, great flavor, highly recommend!

The burgers we had were delish, compliments to the cook and the Bartender / waitress was very approachable and Nice! If we come back to the area we will make it a point to stop back by!!

All I can tell you is be prepared if you order the hickory smoked bacon burger!! Huge burger cooked well with a perfect ratio of meat to toppings and bun. Loved it!

1/2 lb burgers, who doesn't like that? Lol awesome bar and friendly faces, Friday night karaoke is on point... and the band's on Saturday rock. However the bar is open till 2 am everyday, despite what this site says.

The food was pretty good! Onion rings especially. The waitresses were really nice. Very laid back. They have good ventilation (smoking is allowed.). Pool tables and a couple TVs at the bar.

Great place for burgers, pool tables and some great live music.

The burgers were great. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was very smoky. We had to sit outside to eat. But the view was amazing!

The fact this place has 2 stars is astonishing. I LOVE this place! I'm from San Francisco. Very refreshing to go to place with great hospitality and bomb ass food! Cheeseburger was damn good! Grandma got chicken sandwich on Texas toast that tasted like grilled cheese. It's a bar and grill on the beach. I don't know what more the other grumps would expect lol. Thank you for a great meal before my 30 hour road trip back to the city. Definitely recommended.

We were a little nervous to go with all the bad reviews; however we had a great experience. The drinks were strong and not watered down and the food was good. If you're looking for over friendly service, you won't find it here; however they were not rude. The food and drinks came in a normal time frame. I would come back.

I enjoy this bar everytime I come in Sunshine always has my drink ready for me before I walk in the door. Marcus always makes the best mouth watering burgers on the island.

This place is a BAR AND GRILL not a FAMILY RESTAURANT like google claims. Its a wonderful place to have a couple of drinks and some delicious burgers. It also has a wonderful ocean view... bands and karaoke on certain days as well. And yes there are complaints about smoke... its a BAR of course people smoke in the building.

Honesty, one of my favorite places on Surfside to grab a beer and sandwich (love their grilled chicken when they have it) They do run out of things way too often. (Liquor, food, etc) but overall I like it here.

Carly, the normal bartender is really sweet and can mix up some great concoctions!

We normally try and skip this place during the summer when there are tons of tourists who aren't on "island time" and want everything in 5 minutes. You aren't in Houston ;) but we will keep coming! Thanks for the great service, Carly!

Good food, good people

I lived in Lake Jackson, [and now visit] this was/is our family "go-to" restaurant for the some of the best seafood in the area. Sitting on the deck, eating, enjoying a margarita, sights and sounds of the ocean, and the surfside sunsets! If you can't get to the Caribbean, this will suffice! The entire staff is friendly, and attentive. Great food, good service, spectacular views. what more could you want?! SHARKIES is STELLAR! ?????

Took the family here this past weekend and had a very good burger and experience. Waitress was super nice and helpful. Place was exceptionally clean especially the restrooms. We plan on making this a regular stop when we're in town.

I was in Freeport on personal business and had a little time so I drove down to Surfside. I stumbled into Sharkies around 2:00 on a Tuesday afternoon. No one there. Ordered a burger and sat outside on the deck overlooking the surf. Seriously, the best burger I've ever had (crisp lettuce, quality tomato, crisp pickle, grilled bun and perfectly seasoned meat). The lady that owned the place was so friendly without being overbearing. I'll probably make a special trip from Houston just to have another great experience like this!

All n all it was aight. I think the bartender had a thing for me and put a viagra in my drink because I had a boner the entire time

Saw this place from the beach and figured we would stop by, Sure glad we did the food was excellent and the service was just as good and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone, I'll be stopping by again for sure. After talking with our server I discovered that they also source their meat from local sources which to me is just another plus.

This is a great place to come and watch the surf with great food and music. Anytime I am in surfside you will be able to find me here. This place is awsome
